How flat (in inches) can this rotating plug adapter be?
When put flat against the wall, it’s about 0.57 inch. It’s perfect for plugging in items where the outlet is behind furniture like a dresser. What is unique is the outlets are vertical rather than horizontal and because of that whatever you plug into this sits close to the wall. Add that to the small profile and you can snug furniture up to the wall
Are these UL approved?
Can this flat plug adapter be used with a GFI (ground fault interrupter) receptacle?
Yes, it can be connected on a GFCI outlet, however that will completely defeat the shock/electrocution protection that a GFCI outlet provides on any wet location. The reason for this is that since this adapter is not grounded it will not work properly on the GFCI which requires an uninterrupted ground wire to provide the intended protection. For that reason IT SHOULD NOT be used on a GFCI outlet.
can you plug in things that have one side of the plug bigger and the other smaller?
That’s called a ‘polarized plug’ and yes, the ones I received have this feature!
